After install Apache tomcate (6.0.20) in windows 7. I faced some strange isue.
The tomcat instance is started by the windows service automatically without any error. It can be accessed using http://localhost
But if access with IP address, for example: http://192.168.2.2, it’s not available.
The strange thing is if tomcat is started manually using startup.bat. Everything is OK.
The issue is windows firewall blocked the tomcat6.exe which is used by service.
The solution is to manually run tomcat6.exe. Firewall will give warning. Just allow the access for the exe. The problem will be solved.
